Listen, I know I may be bias, but restaurants are the absolute perfect venue for intimate weddings and here are five reasons why.
By nature, restaurants come with everything needed for a meal. Tables and chairs, dishes and flatware, cups, napkins, serving platters, servers, bartenders, and most importantly food and beverages.
The only things you may consider bringing in are tablecloths or runners (if not provided by the restaurant), florals, and miscellaneous personal decor like a ceremony backdrop/altar.
2. They’re cost effective
Many restaurants will only charge a food and beverage minimum, plus gratuity. This will potentially save you thousands of dollars because they come with everything listed above. If you were to purchase/rent/book all of the above vendors and services individually, they would be far more expensive.
3. The food is [almost] guaranteed to be delicious
Food is what restaurants do; it’s their area of expertise. And in a city like Atlanta, if the food is horrible, the place won’t be open long. So you can pretty much assume the food will be something your guests rave about for years.
4. They reduce decision fatigue
Because they come with everything needed for a good meal, you don’t have to fret over which dishes to pick, whether the chairs match the tables, what staffing company to go with, if you need to rent champagne flutes, water goblets AND wine glasses.
5. Less competition for dates
Traditional wedding venues book up fast. Unless you’re getting married during a busy season (think November/December/NYE holiday parties), you will very likely get your pick of dates at a restaurant.
